Cowboys leading the Redskins 14-6 at halftime

In a game they must win to continue to control their own playoff destiny, the Dallas Cowboys lead the Washington Redskins 14-6 at halftime. DeMarco Murray has eight carries for 62 yards and a touchdown, while Tony Romo is 5 of 9 passing for 62 yards including a 14 yard scoring strike to Dez Bryant.
Michael Spurlock is making his presence felt for the Cowboys special teams with a 62 yard punt return after the Redskins opening drive that set the Cowboys up at the Washington 3 yard line. Murray scored on the next play giving the Cowboys an early 7-0 lead just two minutes into the game.
After giving up two field goals to Kyle Forbath and the Redskins making the score 7-6, the Cowboys were able to put together a 93 yard touchdown drive culminated by Bryant’s touchdown catch.
If Dallas is able to hold on to win today they will play the Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday in Dallas, with the winner earning the NFC East Division title and a home playoff game.
